The owner of the immensely
beautiful Villa La Fiorita, one of the most prominent antique
dealers in Italy, has fixed up a smaller cottage next door
called Il Pettirosso, enjoying the same breathtaking views
of Positano and the entire Amalfi Coast.
Il Pettirosso is ideal for two
couples or a small family with well-behaved children. It consists
of a living/dining room with fireplace, small kitchen with
everything, and two smallish bedrooms (one matrimonial, one
twin), each with its own brand-new bathroom adjacent. All
rooms take full advantage of the magnificent views, and all
lead out onto lovely terraces ideal for lounging and dining
alfresco. There is even a small garden with a lemon tree for
shade. The house is equipped with air-conditioning, independent
central heat, washing machine, dishwasher, and telephone.
Negatives: The house
isn't enormous. There are, as everywhere in Positano, some
stairs to contend with go get up to the cottage. And you'll
hear some traffic noise from the road below, an issue which
no one has complained to us about in all the years
we've offered La Fiorita.
We are certain that Il Pettirosso
will take its place with this owner's other properties as
one of Vacanza Bella's most successful properties. We highly
recommend it to you.
