    Villa Lesa - Lake Maggiore

    print this page

    Accommodates 8+2+4 — 4+ Bedrooms — 4+ Baths
    Swimming Pool — Tennis Court — Golf Driving Range — Boat — A/C — Wi-Fi

Villa Lesa is a spectacular luxury waterfront villa located on 20 private landscaped acres along the southwest shore of Lago Maggiore, about halfway between Arona and Stresa.  Lesa is the nearest village, an easy 10-minute walk to shops, caffés, restaurants, and all services.  From here, everything Lake Maggiore has to offer is within easy drive – or, even better, an easy boat ride from the villa’s private dock!  Stresa is a sophisticated international resort, from which the magical Borromean Islands and the gardens of the Villa Taranto are within easy reach.  All of the other lakes, plus Milan itself, make easy daytrips.  The area is a paradise for boating, obviously, but also for walking, cycling, mountaineering, and golfing.

Villa Lesa offers everything one would expect in a luxury house – wi-fi, satellite TV, CD/DVD system, electronic safes, washer and dryer, daily housekeeping, air-conditioning, swimming pool, tennis court – and even more: private dock, golf driving range, bikes, canoes, sailing dinghy, plus, by private arrangement with the villa’s English-speaking owner, excursions on his private helicopter, 15-meter vintage sailing yacht, and/or 12-meter vintage wooden motorboat.   A simple arrival meal is offered as part of the rental.

About 4000 square feet overall, the villa is easily described: Living room with working fireplace.  Near-professional quality kitchen with everything.  Dining area opening onto a shaded pergola for al fresco dining.  Four pretty-much-equal double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower room.  Quality and attention to detail are everywhere in evidence.

A separate, independent guest cottage, for an additional 2 adults, with its own kitchen and bath, is available upon special request.

The helpful, unobtrusive English-speaking owner lives in a separate villa on the same estate.  He does not use the swimming pool, but he does occasionally use the tennis court.  We can assure you that his presence has invariably been considered a plus by our guests.
