Florence
We cannot add anything new to what has been written about Florence over the past 500 years. Suffice it to say that it is a wonderfully walkable place, as the historic center is flat and concentrated in a small area. Florence also makes and excellent base for daytrips to absolutely everywhere in central Tuscany, either by train or by bus.

Rome
Rome is our personal favorite city in Italy, hence the larger number of accommodations on offer. Vacanza Bella’s short-term apartment rentals in Rome are located in the most central areas: Colosseum; the Jewish quarter; Campo dei Fiori; Piazza Navona; and the Spanish Steps. In other words, the very heart of Old Rome.
We also have some country properties within an hour or so of Rome which you might consider. Look in the countryside section for these: above all Villa Oliva, but also La Rosaccia, Villa Molinazzo, and Poggio del Vento and Casa Baschi .
