Venice

The uniqueness of Venice
requires that it be experienced more slowly than many
destinations in order to be fully appreciated. It is
a place to escape the automobile, as people make their
way on foot and by boat. Of course you can park a car
in one of the nearby garages and use it for daytrips
to see the Palladian villas around Vicenza, attend an
outdoor opera in the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Verona,
see the Byzantine mosaics in Ravenna, and visit the
resorts along Lake Garda and in the Alps. All of this
presumes, of course, that you can tear yourself away
from Venice for a day. We bet you can't.
We are pleased to say that we have a small but excellent
selection of self-catering apartments in Venice, all
centrally located. Each is pleasant and very well-furnished,
some luxurious, others just genuinely comfortable. Unless
otherwise noted, all have telephone, washing machine,
and dishwasher. Daily or occasional housecleaning can
be arranged for any of these apartments at additional
cost.
