Studio and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments.
This is a unique offering for
us: a suite hotel. We offer it because finding decent accommodations
in Rome for groups of more than 2 persons can be difficult.
We also offer it, however, because we like it. It is our own
personal choice for accommodations whenever we visit Rome.
As is true of all hotels, it
offers a variety of room configurations. Having seen most
all of them, we can truthfully say we know which suites are
to be preferred over others. For example, we always try to
book clients into one particular studio suite because we know
it to be the only one with a real bed. Other possibilities
are 1- and 2-bedroom suites, and we know which of them also
has 2 bathrooms. All suites are tastefully furnished in a
contemporary style, with nice carpets, comfortable beds, and
kitchenettes.
The location is excellent as
it is just off of Piazza Bocca della Verità, within
sight of both the Tiber and the Palatine hill (visible from
the terrace of many of the apartments). It is easy to walk
from here to the sights or hail a cab for longer journeys.
Moreover, for people who have never been to Rome, this place
has the added feature of a front desk staff who speak English
and know the city well. On top of all this, you get daily
maid service and even air-conditioning. Anyone going to Rome,
whether for the first time or the twentieth time, should consider
the Velabro for all of these reasons.
